60 km north of Bangkok is Bang Pa-In, one of the king’s summer residences. After visiting Bang Pa In we will take longtail boat up the Chaophaya River to Ayuthaya, the last capital of Siam. Here you will visit the most important temples in the city, which was destroyed by the Burmese in 1767. These are Wat Phanan Choen, Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Rachaburana, Wat Si Sanpeth and others. Lunch is included. Return to your Bangkok hotel in the late afternoon.
